Not the same piece 1665   ..versus  1666    . 20 acres versus 1.5 ( I think they are trying to sell the piece which is the rd..crap land

It looks in the aerials that the tax pieces are empty and never built on which could mean trouble as there is no frontage on the public rd, additionally frontage is substantially below mins..

But you are right, probably a redeem so dont run out and spend money on searches

Drive if you like.  However, I can tell you that there is an association road going in (no winter access, gated), and it is several kilometers of steep hills and one lane cow path...no heavy trucks, must have 4x4.  The road does not go to this property, no parking, no access.  I believe that this property elected not to become part of the association (no mention of rights of access, etc.....it appears to be an original 20 by 20 run down shack, with tool shed...covered in tattered tarp, and consequently is boat access only.

Assessed value is at least twice what it should be.  Extremely rough terrain...wear hiking boots.

When you get off of Torpit Rd. and onto Orimat just past the United Church Camp, then you travel approx. 4 kilometers through this one lane up and down (and many sideways), till you reach Baldy Lane.  At the top of Baldy you are approx. 85 feet down to the water.  The property being sold has hydro poles that run across the back of it, and while it appears to have road access on google earth, when you look at the r-plans at the registry office, and you compare to the road plans you will see that they do not touch...nor is there any physical driveway connection there at the property line, and if they did have a right of access it would be noted on title.   Either they came into it by boat, or had 'special' arrangement with one of the neighbours.   I believe that this property will be of interest to the neighbours on either side.

It is obvious that the people who owned it, haven't been there for some time, and haven't paid property taxes since the big changes in the late 90's,  and of course if you aren't interested, and don't bother to appeal your assessment, then it sticks - even though it may be way off the mark. You will note that the property is comprised of four parts.  It would appear that two of them were added just before the assessment change, and the changes were catostrophic in this case.  :o
