Has anyone spotted the possible little gem?
« on: September 11, 2014, 03:40:56 PM »
Has anyone spotted the possible little gem that might be available in the last few tax sale postings? One would have to do their homework, but it very well may be worthwhile!

That depends -- is it cancelled now?  I was praying that it wouldn't be, but alas just a couple days before the sale...

It is not cancelled, as far as I know, and the sale is still more than a few days away. Happy hunting!

Ernest Bidder:

I understand the best place to find "your little or (even big) gems"
is about 5 miles south of your home in an Irish Pub.  I understand they are best found in a (after a ???) glasse(s) of Guiness or similar potion.  Are you game?

Dave2 is trying to convert me to the Irish persuasion. There might be a little hidden gem in the recent listings, and I will confirm the first correct answer. I will leave it to Dave2 to buy the beer.

Frank:

To help your understanding how about joining us in Colborne.  I will leave it up to Ernest Bidder to set a date via PM.

Sorry guys, but am just a week or two from putting a hole in the ground for our retirement home, and I'm 5 years late, so have to keep nose to grindstone. This one has been nothing but trials & tribulations, but I just HAD to do it differently. I'll invite you over next spring, after we move in, and I'll buy the Ex.

  Happy hunting.

Been there, done that.  Doing it again next year.  Every time I build I get about 80% done and the wife says if she had it to do over again she woulda done it differently, so I keep giving her another shot at it.  Gotta keep going, if I sit still I might start looking like Dave.  My wife says she is tired of living in sawdust, but I think she secretly likes it.  8)

  Frank:

No insult intended, but when I read "My wife says she is tired of living in sawdust", I had an instant vision of Chester, Marshall Dillon, and Miss Kitty, and I have no idea who is playing whom!

  My best to all.

All of the properties, including the gem of a property in Elora were paid off yesterday afternoon just before the sale. Why bother? 🐊

Well, G2020 got the correct location, but no one has let the cat out of the bag as to why it was a possible gem. C'mon, guy 'n gals, why was it? I'm dying on the vine, with nothing to read for weeks now. I may not be able to get my feet wet again, in your poo, for quite a while, but I'm still interested in following your tribulations and your joys.

Please tell me why no one would want to own their own Hydro generating station?  8)
