I would, but then I would be no better then others babbling on about drinking beer.

It is very obvious I have hit a nerve with this and it is clear by your continuous posts about it.  I still stand by it and I bet the majority of people on this site do as well.  Just the vocal few that "control" the site do not.

KUDOOS to you "Tyerant"

I am on the same page as you.  I am getting a little sick and tired of the b***sh*t rants on this site.  Get to the point, make it simple, and don't make me waste my time reading a post that goes on and on about nothing but keeps you reading in case you miss something.  I could care less about the local bar you met to have beers in!!

Don't get me wrong, there are many people on here that have an amazing amount of knowledge and I appreciate it.  Just get to the point, time is short.

General Discussion / Tyendinaga
« on: January 17, 2013, 03:04:24 PM »
Does anyone have info on Tyendinaga?  The township won't mail or email the package, you have to go there and get it yourself.  Is there anything interesting before I go for a drive or is it a waste of time??

I am sure most people already realize but the house in Madoc has apparently burned down.

Curious if anyone knows the results for Marmora.  I too looked at it but was scared of the mobile homes.

General Discussion / McNab/Braeside TIE
« on: November 28, 2012, 09:28:32 PM »
McNab/Braeside results for 14 Usborne St.

Peplinske        62500    2:46pm
Willum            62500    2:49pm
Moller             58798

Fourteen total bids.  I have never seen a tie for first place before.  Got kind of interesting as the second bidder seemed to think it was unfair.  Municipal Act is clear on this one.

Anybody have any input on Bishop Davis?  I looked at it and it is a total tear down, beside the public access and parking to a very busy beach with people right at your property line.  I know there was an issue recently on this beach of property owners trying to keep general public off the beach and they failed.  Is there something I don't know about this property?  I think the second bidder would have done OK.

General Discussion / Re: non-winning bids
« on: October 27, 2012, 12:09:18 PM »
I actually had a township once keep my third place bid until the first had paid the balance.  No matter how much I told the treasurer he was wrong and he had to give my deposit back he refused.  I received it in the mail about three weeks later.

As a bidder what would possibly be the problem with someone knowing who you are??  Are you ashamed that you are bidding?

General Discussion / Plantagenet
« on: July 25, 2012, 02:24:43 AM »
I went to the property in Plantagenet today, the one on Alfred St.  I know that after I post this people will say I must be interested in it but I am not.  Do not waste your time.  The building is more then a write off.  It will be an expence to remove it.  This being said you are only bidding on vacant land.  It is steep to the water, very unattractive waterfront, mucky water and not navigatable to the Ottawa.  If you want to go look for yourself I did make it into a good day trip taking the family to Papinak Zoo and stopping for dinner at Petree Isalnd.  This was very good.

The other property I did not look at.

If anyone was heading out to these properties the one on Wilson St has been cancelled.
