General Discussion / Looking for Prince Edward County farm
« on: October 07, 2010, 03:35:29 PM »
Anyone out there have or know of a great fixer upper farm in or around Prince Edward County?

We are looking for a century home with barn and outbuildings, 10 -50 acres to make farm status re: taxes.

Looking to pay a fair market price but must have potential, let me know if you have anything by sending a link to the post.

Thanks,
Dale

General Discussion / Muskoka
« on: October 05, 2010, 06:00:50 AM »
It's been a while since I last asked a question here.

Has anyone gone to see any of the Muskoka properties? Thoughts... Not sure what the Black Lake property is like but I imagine there is some interest out there.

Used to be there were more discussions and info on the ongoing tax sale properties, I miss that dialogue.

Did anyone attend the Minden Hills property sale?

Interested in what the Bob lake property went for?

Curious about the Bob Lake vertical... Is it a rocky vertical or a dirt covered steep access to the water?

Interested as well if anyone has found the lot stakes... I would imagine that must be the case if you already know the flat part is not part of the property.

Whatever detail you could share would be appreciated... photos would even save me a trip.

Any liens on this or the river lot?

Thanks,
Suede

Point taken, although I still keep the opinion that when there is no interest and the money has been spend it's no longer about my families interest, perhaps at this point I would consider saving money for anothers family.
Your right though, for some, this could be within range and not a road block.

Nice to see your so passionate about sharing info, your words did help me decide to consider digging deeper, so for that I say thanks.

Well, like many I have driven to see the Kennebec lake lots... average at best.

What people would not share the amount of the crazy lien against these properties... no one knows the amount... are you kidding.
IT'S REVENUE CANADA $$$$107,000.00 + SINCE 1999 COMPOUNDED DAILY.

What point is holdiing back information if it can help people from wasting good money to find out there is an outstanding $107,000 against the owner.
Shame on anyone that didn't think to post this.

 :-\

I attended the reading of the tenders for the Kushog property and thought I would tell you all how it went.
There were a lot of viewpoints on the water access property and it's worth.... well, hold on to your hat.

Whapping $80,100.00 for the 55 ft wide lot with a shack. Nice but is it a deal at that price.

I wish my offer of less would have won but kudos to the person that know what they want.

Seems more like a real estate deal than a tax sale.

New to this site but I too have seen this much talked about property.

Given all of it's challenges it may not be for everyone but something unusual came up and I thought about posting this note in search of answers.

According to the municipality there may be an outstanding lean on this property. They could not expand on the information although I am concerned about eventually having to deal with it. Does anyone know what should be done before making an offer?

Is this usual to have to search a property before the tender and if so, who is best to take care of it?

Any info would be appreciated,
