How are you financing? Traditional Mortgage? Why pay off the principal? Look into a Line Of Credit Mortgage and see if you can get the interest only payments...that'll lower your monthly paymants, and provide much better cash flow to improve the property, or do with as you wish...

wow...that's unbelievable...

with all the flooding in that area over the past 2 springs, I hope the buyer has a good pair of wader boots! It may have been purchased by the local Indian band though, I've heard that they are hoping to 'reclaim' that land (i.e buy it out) with thier Casino revenues...but that's just hearsay...not a fact...

Wow Dave2...predicament galore!!

I had to dig my paperwork out of the recycling bin for that one (I did not bid on it..too far away)...

I picked up my paperwork from the township office when I was out there, but was thrown off by the 'Propery #1', 'Property # 2' labels (used to full descriptions)...so I double checked all the forms (knowing that human error could screw this up)...

I have a 'good' package...meaning that all the roll # etc match...too bad you didn't get mine!  :(

What would I do? Check my paperwork next time....and consult a lawyer... but depending on your lawyer..you may be SOL...you didn't hand in the proper paperwork...and it may be hard to prove you got the 'wrong' paperwork from the township...

Sorry man...just my opinion...

Nice bidding as PFM said...but I'm sure the winners and losers know all of this by now...just reference material for those who didn't bid.

True, assessed values MAY have some meaning...but throw a cottage/house on an unimproved lot...watch the assesed value rise in the eyes of the township (but you guys know that already)  ;)

didn't follow this sale...so not sure of the legals/zoning etc...but assessed values can be of some significance in determining what the piece is worth...depending on zoning...and the township...but hell...I'm just repeating waht I've seen here already.  :)
