good question - methinks the heavy posters are in the separate area for "profis". I am as well not very communicative and have a limited intelligence so try to avoid making my head turn red.......

Professionals / Re: Anyone doing infloor radiant or solar heat+power?
« on: February 15, 2010, 11:01:54 AM »
have infloor (concrete) radiant hooked to a gas thermal unit with solar. Solar is only for the hot water as you use a lot more energy for hot water than heating and the alternative is a lot more expensive and will not amortize within 30 years so why bother.
what do you need to know? If you skip building a basement (gonna get clobbered for this suggestion!), your heating costs are going to be a heck of a lot less and no worries regarding moisture. Consider a separate larger 1.5 storey garage for your storage.

General / 211 Ridge Road, Aurora Sheriff sale
« on: June 29, 2009, 02:34:58 PM »
Does Newmarket have their results from auctions posted online? This property is interesting in that it is on a dead end road and lots on the other side of Yonge St. start at 775K. Be interesting to see what the outstanding amount is mortgaged and/or liens on the property - probably 400K so might be a real good deal.
You need a deep pocket for this one but there might be gold to be had!

How much you pay? Are you private grow operator for stronger ropes? May I participate in profits in your name?

Had a quick look at google aerial and it seems that there are houses on both sides so building should not be a problem and the water is probably from the extreme rainfall this spring. be interesting to find out the hours of operation for the airport across the road. am going to try to find out which fed regs are to apply here.

nice lot for someone who misses the noise from T.O. altho the price is unbeatable at 5k - cheapest lot goes for 39k in MLS. Anyone from the area? is it worth bidding on for a first time property or are there better lots farther away from 69 to be had for say 20k?
