Post by: dogmacanada on August 05, 2015, 01:30:32 PM
So I am interested in the Windsor condo Tax sale....  There is a lien from the condo corp, does this survive a tax sale?

Dogma:

I don't believe it does but condo corporations are funny and they may try to enforce a claim even if they do not have a full legal case.

if you get the property make sure parcel register is updated to remove all claims.

see also this article  about windsor tax sale

http://blogs.windsorstar.com/news/city-of-windsor-to-auction-off-properties-in-tax-sale

looks like lots of other opportunities coming up down the road from the article

Currently there are 75,000 properties in Windsor, and about $41 million in tax arrears.

I did read that, CRAZY.... I just talked to someone living in the Windsor area and she says there in a Sellers market, Not sure if I believe it....  There was a flood in the building this year, wonder if their condo rates will be going up!

Lots of sales up right now, hopefully they go all the way.....

I want to bid on like 10 places, but they will likely be redeemed..as always....lol

Happy hunting

Maybe you should bid your 10 places at least according to the Financial Post. Good Luck  ;)
