We have just uploaded 27 Aerial Photos of the West Lincoln Tax Sale properties! As well as - 30 Aerial Photos for the Chatham-Kent Auction and 6 Aerial Images the Re-Advertised Fort Erie Tax Sale Properties!

For those of you who are not aware our page is still active in the resources section of this forum - though our links no longer show in the news feed understandably due to search engine issues.

Here is the link to the page on TaxSaleProperty.org, that we continuously post Aerial Imagery on.

We have done some cleaning up and have deleted many of the old links to Aerial Photo listings - it will only show current links to current tax sales from now on.

Here is the link - http://taxsaleproperty.org/forum/index.php?topic=1882.0 (http://taxsaleproperty.org/forum/index.php?topic=1882.0)

Kindest Regards,

Just looking at the offerings in Waste Lincoln.

Mostly, inaccessible, unbuildable, one or more contaminated sites.  Many redemptions in store on anything that looks decent.  Very restrictive zonings, and horrendouse set back requirements....did I mention the proposed wind farms in many areas of the township will likely impact on future values... 8)

In addition to what Frank mentioned there are two other things to watch out for. Much of that area on top of the escarpment has no ground water, that is, you cannot dig a well. I have bought tax sale property there in the past and found that even though you may be able to get around the hydrogeological problems with a cistern, you have the added possible constraint of having to deal with the Niagara Escarpment Commission.

Question (for Frank  :) ) - the 1st listing is 50 acres landlocked but bordered by RR & 2 unopened RA.
The only access is from adjoining property or UAR, but said UAR is only ? usual width at Road 20 intersection (built lot occupies part of UAR), at least this is how it appears on pdf map provided by township (link below).   Can UAR (both in general and in this specific instance) be used for access, on foot or by ATV etc, without legal consequences ?

Thanks to any and all for your insight.

As a built lot occupies part of the URA, that portion will have been sold, at some time in the past, to an owner of that built lot; at the time, IIRC as to how the rules work, adjoining lot owners would have been given the opportunity to buy the other portion of the URA. If you check, and the URA is still such, you would be able to use the URA to access a property the adjoins the URA, without legal consequences, other than that another adjoining lot owner might scoop it out from under you, thereby being able to deny you access. Your best bet would be to request that you be allowed to purchase the URA, in which case they would offer it to all adjoining property owners, at market value, and, if no one else wants to outbid you, your purchase of the URA would allow you to turn it into your private driveway. Beware the squatting growers of supposedly beneficial crops.

This guy 8) does not make mistakes so a word to the wise should be noted.

Unfortunately this is the same story I am getting for a number of the current tax sale listings not just those in Frank's waste Lincoln. (One of the advantages of being active is you get information via Private Message as well). Like the (lack of) leaves on the trees it looks like a barren and dark november out there and contrary to the popular advertising Santa Claus appears to be far away.  :'(

Bottom line is simple you are really going to have to do your homework and sharpen your pencil if you are going to be successful with these type of listings.  I have long argued the value of  remaining local and being able to actually see the property if you can get access.

Maybe its time to put another log on the fire and remember the song from the sixties that went; " slow down, you move too fast, got to make the morning last ...."
