Is this information from OTS because I think that it is wrong.

I was told that only properties 2 and 6 sold and that there were no bids on the others. I believe that 2 went for around 10k and I don't know about the other since I had no interest in it.

Title: Re: Central Frontenac - Possible Upcoming landuse restriction

Just a general note:

The Ontario species at risk act may apply in this area and has an interesting covenant for the wood turtle: Quoting from the regulations:

The clandestine nature of this legislation is shown in the paragraph - "Letters are being sent to all identified landowners or land managers for the areas considered proposed habitat for these species to provide the landowners or land managers with the opportunity to comment on this proposal. Due to the sensitivity of the species to poaching, landowners or land managers for the areas considered proposed habitat for Wood Turtle were not contacted directly. The proposed habitat regulation content for Wood Turtle is available to the public through this posting and will be discussed at a provincial stakeholder session in Toronto in May."

So some landowners and managers may have no idea that their land is subject to exclusion.

In other words you may have your land use restricted but they will not tell you until you want to do something with it.  Going to be interested to see how the first court case works on this one.
