re invited for the purchase of the lands
described below and will be received until 3:00 p.m. local time on
January 4, 2006 at the office of the Manager of Taxation & Revenue,
City of Kingston Municipal Office, 1211 John Counter Boulevard,
Kingston, Ontario.
The tenders will then be opened in public, immediately thereafter, on the
same day at the Municipal Office, 1211 John Counter Boulevard, 2nd
Floor Boardroom, Kingston, Ontario.
Description of Land:
Parcel 1: Roll no. 10.11.050.120.12010, 0 Carleton St. Rear, Vacant
Land, PIN 36069-0177(LT), Lot 2, Plan 392, formerly in the Township
of Kingston, now in the City of Kingston, in the County of Frontenac,
Province of Ontario, save and except instrument numbers FR614018,
FR581325, FR272105, FR252077 and FR192401.
Minimum Tender Amount: $13,406.68

Parcel 2: Roll no. 10.11.040.010.10100.0000 Rideau St. vacant land,
1) Part Lots 17, 18 and 19, Plan B3+Pt Lots 1 and 2 in Concession West
of the Great Cataraqui River, in the City of Kingston, in the County of
Frontenac, being the firstly, secondly and thirdly described parcels on
instrument no. FR740172
2) Lots 1 to 100 and Blocks 101, 102, 103, Plan 1896, all in the City of
Kingston, in the County of Frontenac, being the fourthly described
parcel on schedule attached to instrument no. FR740172
3) Those portions of Lots 7, 8, and 9, Plan 178, in the City of Kingston,
in the County of Frontenac, being fifthly and sixthly described parcels
on schedule attached to instrument no. FR740172.
Minimum Tender Amount: $3,254,094.35

0109(R), vacant land. That part of Lot 11, Plan B-3, designated as Part 1
on Plan 13R-1096, in the City of Kingston, in the County of Frontenac.
Minimum Tender Amount: $20,468.03

Tenders must be submitted in the prescribed form and must be
accompanied by a deposit in the form of a money order or of a bank
draft or cheque certified by a bank or trust corporation payable to the
City of Kingston and representing at least 20 per cent of the tender
amount.
The municipality makes no representation regarding the title to or any
other matters relating to the land to be sold. Responsibility for
ascertaining these matters rests with the potential purchasers.
This sale is governed by the Municipal Act, 2001 and the Municipal Tax
Sales Rules made under that Act. The successful purchaser will be
required to pay the amount tendered plus accumulated taxes and the
relevant land transfer tax.
The municipality has no obligation to provide vacant possession to the
successful purchaser.
